Wainwright and District LEARN

 The LEARN Project

Wainwright and District Literacy Education And Reading Network (LEARN) serves the areas of Wainwright, Irma, Chauvin, Edgerton and the M.D. of Wainwright.
This community adult literacy project is a volunteer-based program that matches adult learners with tutors to work on developing skills in reading, writing, spelling, and numeracy.

 How the LEARN Program Works

Training for Tutors is free; resources and support are available. Learners are assessed and matched with a tutor and progress of the pair is reviewed on a regular basis. Survival and success of the LEARN program is dependent upon the support and participation of the community.

 English as a Second Language

ESL Tutoring provides valuable assistance to individuals learning English as a new language, helping them to become a better integrated citizen of the community.
